The "LP" Button (ProLaw Integration)

Learn how to set up and use the 'LP' button to process LawPay transactions directly within ProLaw (Versions 2014+).

Overview

The "LP" button allows you to process transactions through LawPay Link without ever leaving ProLaw. This feature is available for ProLaw versions 2014 and later.

Once configured, the LP button will automatically appear in Matters, Ledgers, and Contacts within ProLaw.


πŸ”„ Process Flow

  1. Select a client, matter, or open invoice.

  2. Click the LP button.

  3. Launch: ProLaw calls LawPay Link and opens a new browser window.

  4. Pay: Select the invoice, enter payment data, and process.

  5. Capture: LawPay Link processes and captures the payment.

  6. Post: Depending on your settings, journals are posted automatically at the time of payment or manually when funds are received.


πŸ› οΈ Implementation & Setup

To enable this feature, you must first obtain credentials from our support team.

  1. Request Access: Email [email protected] to request your LP button credentials.

  2. Wait Time: This process typically takes 24-48 hours.

  3. Configure: Once you receive your token, follow the steps below for your specific ProLaw version.

ProLaw Version 30.1 or Newer

  • Go to TOOLS > SETUP > SYSTEM PREFERENCES.

  • Select 3rd Party Integrations.

  • Check the box for ClientPay/LawPay.

  • Enter your provided Token in the Token field.

  • Repeat for each professional.

ProLaw Version 2021.2

  • Go to TOOLS > SETUP > PROFESSIONALS.

  • Select a professional.

  • Enter your LawPay Firm Key (Token).

  • Repeat for each professional using the same information.

ProLaw Versions 2019.2 – 2021.1

  • Go to TOOLS > SETUP > PROFESSIONALS.

  • Select a professional.

  • Enter the Client Pay Firm Key, Email, and Firm Identifier.

  • Repeat for each professional using the same information.

ProLaw Version 2019.1

  • Go to System Preferences.

  • Check the box next to ClientPay.

  • Go to Configure ClientPay Firm Credentials.

  • Enter your Token.
