How does an international client enter their address?

This article explains how international clients can navigate address verification when a City or State is required.

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Our address verification system primarily uses the Street Address and Zip/Postal Code to verify a credit card against the cardholder's records. However, some system forms may still require a City and/or State to process a payment.

For International Clients

If a client is located outside of the United States and the form requires these fields:

  • State Dropdown: Advise the client to select any state from the menu. This will allow the form to validate and complete the payment.

How to Make City/State Optional

While you cannot fully remove these fields from your Payment Pages, you can mark them as Optional so that international clients can skip them entirely.

  1. Navigate to Payment Pages in the left navigation bar.

  2. Click Edit next to the specific page you wish to modify.

  3. Select Default Fields in the upper right corner.

  4. Change the dropdown for City to Optional.

  5. Change the dropdown for State to Optional.

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
