This article provides technical instructions for browsing the LawPay Link web service via IIS to verify internal connectivity.

Overview

To verify the internal status of the web service, the most effective method is to browse it directly from within your server environment. Follow these steps to ensure you are viewing the correct service files.


How to Browse the Web Service

  1. Open IIS: Launch the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

  2. Locate the Service: In the connections pane, find the site associated with the LawPay Link service.

  3. Switch View: Right-click the site and select Switch to Content View at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Select the Service File: * For Elite integrations, locate EliteService.svc.

    • For ProLaw integrations, locate ProLawService.svc.

  5. Browse: Right-click the .svc file and select Browse.

  6. Handle Certificates: If a certificate error appears in your browser, click through the warnings to proceed. You should eventually see a service error message or a service description page.


โš ๏ธ Important Restriction

Do not use the Browse option located on the right-hand "Actions" pane of the main IIS window.

This button searches for a default HTML home page. Since the LawPay Link service folder does not contain a standard HTML file, this method will always result in a "403 - Forbidden" or "404 - Not Found" error.
