Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

Enter Payment is the primary manual entry screen for LawPay Link. This interface allows you to key-enter payments directly and supports Transaction Optimization by capturing additional data to help reduce processing costs.

πŸ“ Form Requirements

When filling out the payment form, look for the following visual cues:

  • Required Fields: Highlighted in yellow.

  • Errors: A thin red border will appear on any field causing a processing issue.

πŸ’³ Key Sections

Payment Information

Specify the transaction amount and select the appropriate bank account for deposit.

[!IMPORTANT]

If you have multiple accounts, ensure the correct one is selected before submitting. Bank accounts cannot be changed once the transaction has been processed.

Payment Method

Enter the client's credit card details here. While the CVV (3-digit security code) is recommended for security, it is not required and does not affect your processing rates.

Billing Address

The cardholder's street address and zip code are required for the best processing rates.

  • Auto-populate: Use the postal code lookup to automatically fill in the City and State fields.

Custom Fields & Receipts

  • Custom Fields: Any fields you've added in Settings will appear here.

  • Receipt Emails: An email address is required to send a receipt. You can enter multiple addresses by separating them with a comma.

🎨 Customizing Your Experience

You can make the interface as simple or as comprehensive as you like using the Edit Layout icon in the upper right corner.

Pro-Tip: If there are optional fields you never use, hide them! A cleaner display allows you to see at a glance if the form is complete before you click Submit.
